Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pre-orders to include early beta access
by Andrew Yoon, Aug 07, 2012 3:15pm PDTThe cheapest way to pick up Valve's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be through the PSN Play promotion on PS3. But the earliest way to play the long-awaited tactical shooter is to buy it on Steam for PC and Mac. By doing so, you'll be able to play the game one week earlier than its planned August 21st release.
Pre-orders of the game have opened on Steam. Early adopters will be able to get the game at a 10% discount ($13.49). In addition, pre-orders include early access to the "beta" version of the game on August 14th.
While it's unclear what content will be included in the "beta," the final version of the game will feature over 45 weapons, "loads of maps," new game modes, new visuals, and over 165 Steam Achievements.
