Diablo 3 gets dynamic character profiles

Character profiles have been added to Diablo 3's community site, letting you check stats, track your progress, or compare builds.

The Diablo 3 community site has just added another feature, and again it's one that takes influence from World of Warcraft. You can now access your character profile in the Diablo site to check stats, track progress, and brag about your build to your friends.

Battle.net announced the new functionality, and promises more character profile features to come. Right now you can get a full break-down of gear, stats, and skills, check how far you've progressed in the game or in terms of monster-slaying, and check your friends' characters to compare all of that. And promptly draft a note about how your monk is miles beyond his barbarian, no doubt.

"We like profiles so much that we plan to add even more functionality to them as Diablo 3 evolves, including detailed statistics and tabs for achievements and artisans," the post states. It also invites users to share their ideas on what the character profiles could include, so chime in if you have any bright ideas.

I guess it doesn't matter what they do if you aren't playing anymore, does it?

NO kidding, what ever happened to features that they claimed were going to be out near release, you know things like PvP. It would be nice if they had randomly generated content distinct from the story Acts. I am pretty much burnt out repeating the same content over and over just on different difficulties.

It definitely should, since it's what the whole game is about anyway.
