StarWars 2

by Steve Gibson, Jun 28, 2000 2:00pm PDT

The latest StarWars prequel has just begun shooting over in Australia. Cant really say that the first one did a whole lot for me but here is to hoping that the next one is better. Word is that our favorite JarJar due to popular demand (heh) will be making another appearance in the 2nd episode.

The still-untitled Episode II, the first installment in the Star Wars saga to go all-digital, is scheduled to wrap up in August in Australia before moving on to a month of shooting on location in Italy and Tunisia. "It's hard for me to remember if I'm still shooting Episode I, the special edition, the DVD or Episode II," writes Lucas, a man who's obviously got a lot on his mind. Other crew members were pumped up for the shoot as well.

  • If the Jedis whittled down the Sith to just two (Sidious and Maul), then how could the Jedis be destroyed by the Sith, so that in Ep 4, we see the Jedis have taken on a Sith-like 'master and student' attitude? At the start of Ep 1, there are at least 5 old guys, then there was Qui-Gon and Ben Kenobi. That makes seven, minus Qui-Gon makes six.

How did the Jedi get wiped out, the same as the Sith got wiped out? Was there a movement to rebuild the Jedis at the end of Ep 6? Did Luke say anything about training an apprentice?

    Thanks!
