Penny Arcade: Episode 3 free DLC now available

The first of two planned free DLC patches coming to Penny Arcade Adventures Episode 3 has released today. Called the "Fan-Fiction Free DLC Patch," it adds a few new costume features, along with bug fixes and balance adjustments.

The patch includes a "Costume Change" feature that lets you change the appearances of the characters at will, rather than the regular costume changes that occur during gameplay. You can also find new "Gender-Swapped" and "Furry" costume sets, just in case you want to see those iterations of the characters without Googling for disturbing fan art. (Tip: Do not Google that.)

It also fixes a bug that let you keep stat bonuses from removed classes, and makes balance adjustments to the Crabomancer's special attack and the Evil King's stat boosting ability.

The patch is coming to Xbox 360 as well, but Zeboyd Games gives "no firm time-line due to the way XBLIG handles updates." Another free update is due next month to coincide with PAX, titled "Lair of the Seamstress."
