Report: ToeJam & Earl headed to PlayStation 3
by Steve Watts, Jul 25, 2012 2:30pm PDTThe Sega Genesis classics ToeJam & Earl and its sequel, Panic on Funkotron, may be hitting the PlayStation 3 soon. Sega has been adding titles to the PlayStation Network as part of their "Vintage Collection" line, and sources claim the bizarre duo is about to have its day.
Siliconera reports that sources claim the early 90s titles are the next slated games, which seems believable enough. The branded Vintage Collections have included games like Sonic and the Monster World series, and we know Sega remembers the ToeJam & Earl series due to its PC re-release last year.
If you're under the age of 25, you might think "ToeJam & Earl" is a terrible name. And you are correct. But the 16-bit era brought us Boogerman and Earthworm Jim, so many of us fondly remember when the industry joined in thinking potty humor was hilarious.
