Notch: Minecraft XBLA sales hit 3 million
by John Keefer, Jul 20, 2012 10:30am PDTWe knew Minecraft was already popular on PC when it came out for Xbox Live Arcade in early May. Sales started fast and less than a week after launch the game had sold more than a million units. Apparently, that popularity is still growing, according to Mojang's Marcus "Notch" Persson.
Persson tweeted this morning that the game has now sold more than three million units on XBLA. The game is getting some love during the Summer of Arcade event, and, not to be forgotten, the PC version is getting more changes on August 1.
