Then, are you disappointed in Diablo 3? Perhaps Blizzard is a bit, as well. Admitting the game "isn't perfect," Blizzard talks about improvements they want to make on the game. I'm not sure what people expected from Diablo 3 that makes them feel disappointed by it. It's very much in the same game play structure as the previous Diablo games. I enjoyed it every bit as much as I thought I would, which involved playing through a couple of difficulties worth of play throughs, but burning out before the final difficulty level (inferno).

That about how I played Diablo 2, and is what I expected here. Although I suppose, since my character is saved on Blizzard servers, I may actually be able to reach inferno someday when I fire it up again; which I most certainly eventually will. Just as I did with Diablo 2.

The main problem is that the endgame is built around the real money auction house. It would be fine if it wasn't so damn blatantly obvious. Also the other thing is that there aren't permanent non-revertable states (which create replayability and individuality of heroes). Right now the only thing different about two heros is their gear. Also the mobs in inferno can be pretty hardcore. As soon as you find a hard mob, everyone just "re-rolls" to a new server.

Fully agreed, Miller. Somehow people expected some sort of MMO-ish mash-up that would provide them endless hours of entertainment. This isn't really that type of game - it never really was.
