With a movie set to hit theaters next year, it appears Paramount Pictures is also readying a video game tie-in for World War Z. Given the subject matter (zombies), color us unsurprised.

Siliconera discovered the trademark filing, and points out that Paramount has another game in the works: Star Trek, which will be distributed by Namco Bandai. Hopefully, World War Z's game will be more like that and less like its Top Gun and Days of Thunder games.

In late 2008, Midway's Newcastle studio pitched a game based on the World War Z novel. Kotaku has some of the concept art penned for the game. Of course, given Midway's fate, the game never saw the light of day.
