by Steve Watts, Jul 16, 2012 9:30am PDTLike any big-budget fall release, Need for Speed: Most Wanted is getting its own set of pre-order goodies. But what to offer in this car game about cars racing against other cars? If you answered "cars," you're a clever one.
Pre-orders will get the "Limited Edition" version of the game, similar to other recent EA releases. This lets you unlock two specially-modified multiplayer cars early: the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale and Porsche 911 Carrera S. You'll also get double speed points for the first four hours of multiplayer.
Select retailers will also be able to unlock one of three packs. The Speed Pack unlocks the Caterham Superlight R500, and modifications for improved handling and speed. The Strike Pack features the Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series, with modifications for improved toque and crash handling. Finally, the Power Pack includes the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor with mods for increased durability, and a nitrous dump for powerful smashes. All of them come with a Satin Black livery.
