Ghost Recon: Future Soldier 'Arctic Strike' DLC available July 17
by Jeff Mattas, Jul 11, 2012 12:00pm PDTPublisher Ubisoft has announced that Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier's first DLC pack "Arctic Strike" will become available for download for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on July 17. New weapons, a new multiplayer mode, and a co-op map will be included in the pack. If you'd like to take the fight from the urban streets of Moscow to the Arctic, $9.99 (or 800 Microsoft Points) will get you admission.
Arctic Strike will include three new multiplayer maps, and a new Guerilla co-op map. A new multiplayer game mode called "Stockade" is also entering the fray. New achievements are included, as is a +10 player level cap increase.
The new DLC also gives the Rifleman, Scout, and Engineer classes two new weapons each to play around with, and are as follows:
- Rifleman - F2000 and CZS805
- Scout - Type 05 JS and BT MP9
- Engineer - OCP-11 and Mk17
As typical of DLC, the Arctic Strike pack will be downloadable from both Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, but if you're interested in pre-ordering the pack from GameStop or Best Buy, that option is available as well.
A PC release date for the DLC has yet to be revealed.
