Shack PSA: Kinect PlayFit available today
by Steve Watts, Jul 10, 2012 10:45am PDTMicrosoft's "Kinect PlayFit" has launched today, tracking your fitness goals across a broad range of Kinect games. The application is a free download and available now in the US. As previously reported, it tracks your cumulative fitness progress for a more all-encompassing solution than the single-serve fitness counters of individual games.
The Major Nelson blog shares more details. You can view your stats on a timeline, and earn PlayFit Achievements and Avatar Awards. If you have a Kinect and plan on playing games for it anyway, you may as well be earning some extras. It also tracks social activity challenges and ranks you in the leaderboards, if you really want to feel terrible about yourself.
