Enough people were excited about the prospect of a sequel to 1987's post-apocalyptic RPG Wasteland for the Kickstarter campaign to hit its $900,000 goal in only two days, but how many pledgers actually played the original? Ah. I haven't. Have you? Well, no matter, soon we'll all be able to play, as developer inXile has announced Wasteland 2 will come with the first Wasteland.

"The #1 request we had during our Kickstarter campaign was to have the ability to play the first game. Fortunately EA has continued to support us on this project and has granted us the ability to bring the original to the players," inXile co-founder and Wasteland co-designer Brian Fargo said in the announcement (via No Mutants Allowed).

Fargo explained on Twitter, "We cannot release it prior to Wasteland 2. It is to be bundled as part of Wasteland 2. I'm still happy to be able to get it in there at all." He added, "I can't give specific details but the terms were very fair. I can tell you that most publishers would not have helped at ALL."
