There was at least 1 other time a game was moved up a week. I forget which one, but it has happened before.

They better start trying to figure out the FOV thing now - I know some companies have a hard time with it.

Shhhh don't tell any one its actual a value you have to set in your 3D game engine in order for things to work, all they have to do is expose that value to a UI and set some min and max like to the UI element say 40 - 180(or what ever if performance is a issue).

You didn't here this from me...

This actually brings up a question do console only gamers really like small freaking ass FOV? Or do they just go with it since they have never seen past 45 or 60? Seems like its been really bad lately and getting smaller.

I agree the shit needs to stop.

its about the distance you typically sit from the screen, you want the perspective to fit snugly into the persons field of view since console gamers sit relatively longer from the screens the natural feeling FOV is different from a typical couch TV setup and a desk / monitor setup.

I have never felt that a 60-75 FOV was natural on a console/TV, even though mine is 8-10 feet from me. It still feels crowded and claustrophobic.

I agree, I think it doesn't matter where you sit or what platform you use it not cool to have a low FOV

It server no purpose for the user at all.

Internally for the engine it will help in not rendering as many things to help your engine if it has hit some performance walls that's about all I can think of. But from a user stand point that is not our problem is it.

I've never liked the narrow fov on console games but it doesn't make me sick like it does on some PC games. It's still obnoxious as hell, especially in games that expect you to look at the ground to pick up items (Borderlands, I'm talking about you!)

You have to waste a lot of time moving your tiny porthole of a view around to get a sense of where you are or what is going on around you. I can see why FPS gamers can enjoy this because it gives people a monstrous blind zone and console gamers can't do quick blindspot checks the way a keyboard and mouse gamer can. So sneaking up on someone is much easier.

      Dark Energon.
      Dark Energon?
      DARK ENERGON!

I loved War for Cybertron. It's basically the best game for the old cartoons is how I thought of it. Coop was great and I liked how each level was different from the other. Some were more vertical than others, some had a lot of platforming, some mostly vehicle mode.

Also the incredible usage of the term "Dark Energon" by all the characters was hilarious. It was self conscious to a point where you expected it but they would do it differently or interrupt it.

My 4 year old went crazy with the 1 second appearance of Cliffjumper in the video. If Shockwave makes and appearance in this game he will probably have to be committed.
