Shack PSA: Mass Effect 3 'Extended Cut' available now
by Steve Watts, Jun 26, 2012 8:00am PDTAs promised, the Mass Effect 3 "Extended Cut" downloadable content is available today. It's available for the Xbox 360 and will be coming to PC soon, but the PlayStation 3 version isn't coming until July 4. Spoilers follow.
The Extended Cut adds more context to the endings, but doesn't change the key choice that bothered some fans. BioWare pointed out that people who rejected the concept itself won't be pleased. But fans looking for some more clarity and detail should like it a bit better. Plus, some fans have already noticed a fourth option, in which Shepard simply refuses to make any choice at all.

I would have liked to see a super high ems branch of the refusal ending that you could only obtain if you made certain choices throughout the trilogy and dlc but that's just wishful fanboy thinking because they would be unobtainable on the PS3 version and upcoming Wii U version.
Though looking at the new endings, it's super obvious that they're going to make sequels set in the future of this universe.
