Dragon Age Legends goes offline, revived as single-player
by Steve Watts, Jun 20, 2012 9:30am PDTDragon Age Legends may not have been the deepest gameplay experience around, But it certainly had more meat on its bones for core gamers than most of the experiences on Facebook. Some players were actually still playing it, making its unceremonious death this week a bit of a drag. But fear not: the game can still be played, albeit offline and without some of its perks.
The official site (via Joystiq) made the announcement. You can download and run it straight from your computer. It requires Adobe Air, so you'll need to download that from the Adobe site as well.
The site also promises that if you played the game on Facebook or Google+, you'll be able to download your character and continue playing. "We are gathering all the data now and it will be available within a few days," the announcement notes.
On the downside, you can't import your friends to fight alongside you, and the offline game can't serve as a way of snagging bonuses in Dragon Age 2. But if you want to just play the game itself, you can.

Then I look over at serious games like Dragon's Dogma and Dark Souls and realize just how fucked Dragon Age is.
You want a REAL EPIC dragon boss fight go play Dragon's Dogma. For a game calling itself Dragon Age, Bioware has lost it's way.
These pictures of Flashware Dragon Age cartoons makes me want to kill myself. Its pathetic. Who in the fuck did they make this game for?
