Report: Draw Something getting game show adaptation
by Steve Watts, Jun 18, 2012 10:15am PDTThe mobile game that swept the nation (for about two weeks) may become a TV show. Draw Something has reportedly been picked up for a pilot episode by CBS. And since this is a modern game show we're talking about, it will feature celebrity cameos.
Variety (via Develop) reports that the primetime show will feature teams of celebrities in front of a studio audience, presumably picking from a list of words with varying point amounts--because you've always wondered how Khloe Kardashian would draw a blender. Home viewers will also be able to participate in some way.
The show is being produced by Sony Pictures Television, Ryan Seacrest Productions, and Embassy Row. Seacrest, Michael Davies, and Adam Sher are acting as executive producers. No host has been named, and Seacrest isn't expected to be on-camera in the show. The game show isn't expected to premiere until 2013.
