Deus Ex SDK Coming

Christ this game is amazing. I'm at the last level (I think), and all I have to say is: How the hell did they fit this on one disk? There must be something like an hour of digitized speech in there...not to mention a bazillion levels. Only bad things are the fairly dated graphics (this game could desperately use some T&L support, everything was really blocky) and the huge save games. My record was 27 megs for one save.

As far as I'm concerned, this is the best single-player FPS I've ever played...It's not as innovative as System Shock 2 was, since it copies basically everything from that, but it definitely goes one up on the fun factor. Unreal engine can have some huge environments, and picking off guys with a sniper rifle from a quarter mile off is a blast.

I feel sorry for the level designers though, I have a feeling this must've been a bitch to design...thinking up ways to have multiple entry points, balancing out doors that need lockpicks/multitools, etc. But they did a great job.

Oh I can assure you, compared to UT, Deux Ex's D3D code is *BUNK*

DX is truly an awesome game. Of course having a v5500 helps :p

UT and anything running on the UT engine works damn well under the MeTal API.....too bad it only runs on S3 cards...

Do what all of us did when we were young teens. Break into your neighhbors, steal his electronics and then pawn it. Nobody ever gets caught and it makes the game taste much more sweet!
Of coarse, in this modern age, you could just steal a credit card and ship the game to yourself.

WHY does it run so slow? I helped a friend build this system, and its STILL choppy. WHY !@!?!@!????????
