Fire Emblem 3DS announced for North America
by Andrew Yoon, Jun 07, 2012 3:30am PDTNintendo's latest Fire Emblem game is coming to the States. Fire Emblem: Kakusei (Awakening) is a tactical RPG released in Japan just a few months ago. The gameplay retains many of the elements featured in previous entries in the franchise. The character creator has been greatly expanded, and players can also have their heroes pair up and marry other characters.
In Japan, Fire Emblem is also the first Nintendo-published game to offer paid DLC. Additional content includes characters from previous Fire Emblem games, such as Roy and Leaf.
Nintendo of America confirmed a US release for the game over Twitter. "We are excited to confirm a NEW game announcement coming to the US: the new 3DS Fire Emblem! More info to come."
