Vita PSOne Classics coming in waves
by Steve Watts, Jun 06, 2012 3:40pm PDTSony announced at its E3 press briefing that PSOne Classics are finally coming to the Vita. Frankly the hold-up has been a little odd in the first place, so it seemed natural to assume that they'd come all at once. Sony would clear the blockage in a basement pipe somewhere, and the full selection currently on PS3 and PSP would just show up, right? Nope.
Joystiq reports that the PSOne classics will be rolled out gradually, starting this summer. Once a game becomes available, you'll be able to download it for free if you've already purchased it before. On the other hand, that also means you'll probably have to wait for some of the games you've already bought to become available on your shiny new device.
When Sony announced the move, it showed Final Fantasy VII, Tomb Raider, Wild Arms, Twisted Metal 2, Arc the Lad, Cool Boarders 2, and Jet Moto. It's probably a safe bet those will be among the first crop to roll out.
