God of War: Ascension releasing March 12, 2013
by Steve Watts, Jun 04, 2012 7:25pm PDTAt today's E3 press briefing, Sony showed off God of War: Ascension with an extended demonstration of the single-player. The company also announced a solid release date in the usual God of War window: March 12, 2013.
The gameplay looked awfully similar to the rest of the series, with a few tweaks here and there. Kratos has some power that can levitate objects, which was used for platforming segments. Plus, he seems a bit more nimble, jumping and climbing those floating objects with ease. Other than that, the combat looked just as angry and bloody as ever. This prequel clearly isn't about Kratos before he had anger issues.
