FIFA and Madden 13 adds Kinect voice commands

EA Sports showed off its Kinect functionality for FIFA Soccer 13 and Madden NFL 13 at Microsoft's press briefing, letting you make play calls with the sound of your voice.

EA Sports stopped by Microsoft's press briefing to show off the Kinect features of two sports titles: FIFA Soccer 13 and Madden NFL 13. As you might expect, both games still let you use the controller as normal, but use the Kinect for voice commands.

In both cases, this manifests itself as commanding play calls. For Madden, Microsoft had NFL Hall of Fame member Joe Montana come to call audibles as the quarterback, and (unsurprisingly) run it in for a touchdown. The voice commands will also be used for defense, though EA didn't show that in action.

I'm not into sports, but voice commands sound (pun intended) like a great way to add more immersion to sports games.
