Need for Speed: Most Wanted coming from Criterion Games
by Andrew Yoon, Jun 01, 2012 10:00am PDTYesterday, EA confirmed the existence of one of its least-guarded secrets: Dead Space 3. Today, the publisher is confirming yet another not-so-veiled game: Need for Speed: Most Wanted. As expected, this year's entry to EA's annual racing franchise comes from Criterion Games, developer of the Burnout franchise.
The original Most Wanted released in 2005, with an emphasis on police chases. It appears Criterion's take on Most Wanted will do the same, as the first screenshot from Geoff Keighley shows. Criterion's previous game, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, was critically praised for introducing Autolog into the franchise.
More details on this sequel are expected at E3 next week.
