The indie game Guacamelee has become a PlayStation exclusive, with an injection of money through the Pub Fund. The Metroidvania blending luchador title is now slated for release on both PlayStation 3 and the Vita sometime in early 2013.

"Sony has been really great to work with in the past, and we are excited to continue working with them to have the opportunity to bring our new game to their platforms via the Pub Fund program," said studio co-founder Graham Smith. Drinkbox has previously made About a Blob for PlayStation 3 and Mutant Blobs Attack for Vita.

Guacamelee will be shown at E3 this year, as part of Sony's booth. Check out our preview for first-hand impressions.

I'm sure you are right Peanut Fox, it will make some developers make games for both the Vita and PS3. But this game mentioned above is shit, lets get some exclusives like Minecraft that landed over in 360 land. That would be a great game on the Vita and would force me to buy a Vita. So far there are just too few good games for the Vita. Many of the classic PSP hames cannot be used on the Vita, such a shame.
