New Hitman trailer shows 47 absolving nuns
by John Keefer, May 30, 2012 1:45pm PDTWith a title like Hitman: Absolution, you might expect the game to deliver some sort of religious undertones. But you probably weren't expecting the messengers shown in the new pre-E3 trailer released by Square Enix.
The trailer was teased yesterday in an image released by the publisher, but now we get to see 47 take on a band of nuns bent on delivering him to Hell. I'm not sure if the transformation from chaste to unholy has any significance except to unduly titillate, but there seems to be a gaping chasm between what the CGI imagery depicts and how the game will actually play.
Hitman: Absolution is slated to hit shelves for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on Nov. 20. A pre-order gets you the Hitman: Sniper Challenge standalone spinoff mission, already available on consoles. The PC version hits Aug. 1.
