Battlefield 3 double XP weekend begins tonight
by Andrew Yoon, May 11, 2012 10:00am PDTWhile double XP has been a standard promotion for most online shooters, Battlefield 3 has yet to participate. That changes this weekend, with the game's first-ever double XP weekend.
Beginning tonight at 12:01AM PST and continuing through Sunday, May 13 at 11:59PM PST, everyone will earn double XP "across all maps and modes."
Your bonus XP will be reflected at the end of each match, where it will appear as "additional points." According to EA, double XP will be accrued "across all ranked servers and matches." The XP boost should get you back in shape for Battlefield 3's three upcoming expansion packs. Close Quarters will be available in June, while two more will ship by year's end.
