So Company of Heroes on STEAM...does STEAM take care of the patching, or do you still have to use the god-awful 1 incremental patch at a time utility that Relic provides? The answer to this question will 100% impact my decision to purchase.

Steam has done the patching for a few years now.

Steam patches it. CoH was the first game I rebought on Steam even though I had a physical non-Steam copy, and it was totally because of the patching.

CoH patching on Steam used to be terrible. You'd like need to redownload the whole game each patch or something ridiculous. Maybe it's since been fixed, but maybe not.

So which of the Company of Heroes games is the best? If I am not mistaken all of the expansion are standalone correct? So which one is the best if I only have time and interest for one of them?

The first two can be had for $4 and gives you all 4 factions. This is what you want if you're a cheapskate.

The last title was very polarizing and more about game modes than a fantastic single player or multi experience.

IT IS A CRIME TO NOT PLAY THE FIRST TWO

I have CoH on CD and CoH: OpFor on Steam. I think I'll grab CoH again so I don't have to worry about the CD and Tales of Valor is also $4.

It was an awesome ride while it lasted. Top 10 of 2011 for sure, if not top 5. If someone still doesn't have it, they're missing out.
