Amazing Spider-Man pre-order bonuses detailed

The Amazing Spider-Man will be getting playable Rhino and Stan Lee as retailer-specific pre-order bonuses.

The Amazing Spider-Man holds the rare distinction of being a superhero movie licensed game that actually looks pretty good. We're still going with "cautiously optimistic," but if the good buzz has convinced you to pre-order the game, Activision has detailed the playable characters you can snag for doing so.

Pre-orders at GameStop will give the "Rhino Challenge," which lets you take control of Rhino and wreak havoc on New York City with combos and score multipliers. Amazon takes a more peaceful route, with a playable Stan Lee -- as the famed Marvel writer alluded to earlier this year. Lee uses Spidey's powers to grab pages of his latest script, and collecting all the pages unlocks some kind of Spider-Man 50th anniversary surprise.

The Amazing Spider-Man is set for June 26, just before the film of the same name. Check out our preview for more details.

my wife used to work for a design company in NYC back in the early 00s kinda as an internship but they were paying her like she was part time. She told me these stories about how this older gentleman named "Stanley" would come into the office and everyone would always excited to see him. He would always be kind and sit down and talk to you. yadda yadda yadda.

fast forward to 2011 when we were watching Thor the movie and Stan Lee made his cameo in the movie she looked at me and says "that old man looks exactly like that guy Stanley...." and in my head I did that whole finkle is enihorn routine and I was like STAN LEE IS STANELY...
