The PixelJunk games are among the most critically-acclaimed titles available on the PlayStation Network. Spanning a variety of art styles and gameplay genres, the franchise has managed to garner quite the fan base over five years.

To celebrate, developer Q-Games is having an "anniversary sale" on the PlayStation Network starting tomorrow. For a limited time, many of the games will be available for only $1.

PixelJunk Racers, Monsters, Eden, and Shooter are all being marked down to $1 in the promotion. Newer games, like PixelJunk Shooter 2 and PixelJunk Sidescroller are being marked down by half. And PSP and Vita owners will be able to pick up PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe for half off, as well. The sale will run for exactly one week, beginning with tomorrow's PlayStation Store update.

Following the closure of the sale, Q-Games will then release the next entry to the series: PixelJunk 4am, an odd motion-controlled music performance app.

How exactly do I get these on the Vita? Browsing the store now and don't see anything - the article says that the sale begins tomorrow with an update, but i should at least be able to see them now at regular price?

I haven't checked the Vita store yet, but if it isn't available directly on the system, you'll have to buy it via the PS3. Then, use the USB cable to transfer it from PS3 to Vita.

You can always buy it first, and then load it to your Vita later.

Has anyone tried this new ...thing they've put out in Beta? It's called 4AM and seems like it's a music sequencer/visualiser which you can use to create and share music. I tried it but I can't actually create anything...

I heard it's good despite the developer going bankrupt

I gave it a try and it is pretty cool. It does a surprisingly good job of transplanting the MOBA mechanics into a 2D environment. Laning, ganking, etc all work as expected, but it feels different due to its platforming controls. It also seems more relaxed than a typical MOBA, so it would make a good introduction to the genre, or something to play if you're tired of raging/being raged at in LoL, dota, and HoN.

I'll be picking up Monsters and Racer. This is all the incentive I need to finally get a PSN card so I can buy Journey too. Thanks for the heads up!
