Max Payne 3's multiplayer story explained on video
by Andrew Yoon, May 03, 2012 11:45am PDTRockstar had promised that multiplayer would expand upon the single-player story of Max Payne 3. But, how? In a new video, the publisher explains how the "Gang Wars" mode uses events from the single-player game as a starting point for additional adventures.
Each Gang War has five chapters. The result of each chapter moves the branching storyline forward, while causing the game type to change.
In addition to explaining how the multiplayer offering ties into the narrative, the video explains the ability to create "Vendettas" during multiplayer matches by killing a rival player twice in a row. The cross-game "Crews" are also expanded upon, explaining how they'll work in Max Payne 3.
Max Payne 3 will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360 on May 15th, with a PC release to follow later.
