Rockstar has revealed a multiplayer DLC release schedule for its upcoming bullet time sequel, Max Payne 3. Pre-orders for the content start today, with the first DLC scheduled to hit about a month after the game's debut on consoles on May 15.

The first map pack, called Local Justice, includes a Police Precinct map and two other maps for various multiplayer modes including Payne Killer. Challenges and avatars will also be included. The pack is planned for a June release. The game hits shelves on May 29 for PC.

Rockstar is offering a DLC pass for Xbox Live, PSN and PC, giving players access to all the upcoming DLC content through the end of 2012. The cost is $29.99 from GameStop, Best Buy and from the PlayStation Store, or 2400 Microsoft points on Xbox Live.

"The story of Max Payne 3 begins in the single-player game and crosses over into the deepest multiplayer experience we've ever created," said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games, in a release. "We intend to support the Max Payne community with new and innovative content well into the future."

DLC packs scheduled for this summer include Disorganized Crime maps, Deathmatch Made in Heaven mode, Hostage Negotiation maps and New York Minute co-op. In fall, the plan calls for Painful Memories and Trickle Down Economics maps. Watch Shacknews for details on those packs when they become available.
