A Valley Without Wind demo

A Valley Without Wind is an indie 2D side-scrolling adventure game that casts you in the role of a lone wanderer out to defeat the terrible Overlord. Fight him at any time, but be prepared to die if you have not spent much time questing and exploring. Download the demo for Windows or the demo for Mac.

MacGuffin's Curse demo

Help magician turned thief turned werewolf escape the dastardly clutches of a Private Investigator, funded by a powerful billionaire, and lift the curse before being captured and turned into a horrific science experiment! MacGuffin's Curse is a hilarious puzzle adventure game with tounge in cheek dialogue inspired by classic adventure games. Try the Windows demo or the Mac demo.

Telepath RPG: Servants of God demo

Telepath RPG: Servants of God by Sinister Design describes itself as "a hybrid western RPG / strategy RPG set in a unique Middle Eastern steampunk fantasy setting," emphasising tactical turned-based combat, meaningful dialog with lasting consequences, and a story about the existence or non-existence of a supernatural being. Try out the demo to see what you think.

Arx Libertatis for Arx Fatalis free game

Thinking of picking up Valley - anyone play it? Is it any good?

Eh, I'm kind of underwhelmed by it. I preordered it during the alpha and I just don't think it's very fun, but I guess "fun" can be subjective. It also has some really awful graphics.

It's interesting. I've spent a few hours with it and I'm going to play it some more but I'm not in love with it. The exploring is kind of interesting but a lot of the buildings are a strange mixture of being really confusing and similar to each other. It's a cool idea and the devs are awesome at post release support so I imagine it'll grow up quite a bit over the next couple of years.

I'd wait for a steam sale to pick it up at this point.

I could see it being cheaper during the summer sale in a couple of months.

I ran through it for Indie Games Channel and I personally love it. Think of it like a Super NES-era adventure that's never the same twice.

This is a good enough recommendation for me to at least try the demo.

I went ahead and picked it up this weekend after reading some positive previews/reviews the end of last week. Other then the fact you get to have a totally new layout/map/adventure every new game you start I honestly found the controls/gameplay to be unsatisfying. I gave up on it after a few hours wishing I hadn't spent the money.

How exactly do you get Stellar Impact to work for free? I downloaded the client and it still wants me to buy it or enter the serial number.
