Ars Technica has an article on the KLAT2 Supercomputer, packing a whole bunch of Athlon 3DNow enabled computers together to reach a nice 64 GFLOPS. Not too long ago this would've cost millions, now it's just $41,000. It's like, a pretty amazing little setup.

this isnt that leet, I think its UCLA (not sure) that have the ASCIIRED supercomputer, its made of like a 1000 pentium pros and does something like 1.3 terraflops
