Rumor: Rayman Origins sequel hinted in marketing survey
by Steve Watts, Apr 23, 2012 10:30am PDTRayman Origins was widely regarded as one of the best platformers of last year, and in a year with a new Mario game that's no joke. And, it even made Ubisoft a profit. So, it doesn't come as a surprise that Ubisoft appears to be considering a sequel.
Kotaku reports that a survey from marketing firm Arkenford (sent in by an anonymous tipster) indicates a sequel to the game that would keep the first title's co-op gameplay, but add elements like dragons and ghosts.
As always with marketing surveys like this, it's important to keep in mind that this is meant to gauge interest. It's not a guarantee that a sequel will ever materialize. Still, it is nice to have some reason for hope. We've contacted Ubisoft regarding the survey, and will update as more information becomes available.
