New video game releases of 4/23-4/29

Cor, a new week already? You'd better learn what's coming out, then. Next week's new releases include Prototype 2 on consoles, the bloody Bloodforge, and the PC editions of Binary Domain and Risen 2: Dark Waters.

"Where's the PC edition of Prototype 2?" you may ask. It's been delayed until July 24 for reasons unexplained. On the flip-side, the console editions of Risen 2: Dark Waters have been delayed into July.

Here's our list of next week's new releases:

PC

Xbox 360

PlayStation 3

Nintendo 3DS

Nintendo DS

Binary Domain is also Steamworks: http://www.shacknews.com/article/73378/binary-domain-pc-confirmed-for-next-week

I'm kind of baffled on this game. I'm not a third-person-shooter fan, and some of the scripting in videos I've seen looks a little broken, but it looks like a fun kind of broken. Even the concept itself sounds like a fun kind of broken:

"Hey, the developers of the Yakuza series made a third-person shooter with robot enemies, and an NPC squadmate named Big Bo."
      "....WHAT?!"

Also, best NPC bark ever: "That was SWEEEEEEEEET!!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAz-C75FZdE#t=6m40s

What's the deal with Deep Black? Is it episodic on all platforms or only on XBLA?

From what I can tell... the XBLA version, called Episode 1 is episodic... but you can buy the "full version" listed as Deep Black as well.... the Steam (PC) version, Deep Black: Reloaded, seems to be the whole game.

So in short, it seems you can buy ($10) episodic versions and full versions.

I know why Prototype 2 was delayed for the PC. Its because its on PC.
