Hollywood is ready to step back into the scary town of Silent Hill once again. Releasing just in time for Halloween is Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. Distributed by Open Road Films, the movie is a sequel to the original Silent Hill movie released in 2006.

Revelation continues to follow Heather Mason and her father, as they run away from "dangerous forces" that neither can understand.

According to Bloody Disgusting, Heather will discover "she's not who she thinks she is." The revelation will lead "deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever." That certainly sounds like Silent Hill.

Sean Bean, Deborah Kara Unger, and Radha Mitchell return, resuming their roles from the original film. New to Revelation is Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Malcolmn McDowell. Michael J. Bassett, whose credits include Solomon Kane and Deathwatch.

Revelation will be in theaters on October 26th.

If I remember it implied that the mother and daughter were still in the 'alternate reality' or whatever, and he was sat around waiting for them in the 'real world'

Awesome! The original was terribly flawed, but had enough faithful scenes to warrant a viewing - hope that they learned from their mistakes.

      Also, Bean is back, yes!

Yeah, I really liked the first movie... except for that "thriller" nurse scene... made me laugh, hehe. ;)

It has Malcom McDowell in it! I haven't seen him in anything since... He was awesome in Wing Commander IV (and Caligula)
