The single-player campaign will recreate sections from Bond's past adventures as well as the new movie, Skyfall. GoldenEye Reloaded's single-player 'Mi6 Ops' ranked challenges will return too, some of which let you play from the perspective of Bond's chums or enemies.

On the multiplayer front, there's online play and four-player local split-screen shenanigans, bristling with weapons, areas and characters from Bond's history.

"To honor 50 years of the world's top secret agent, 007 Legends offers a collection of his most famed moments in the smartest and most treacherous Bond game yet," Activision Publishing executive VP David Oxford said in the announcement.

007 Legends is headed to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall.

I would most probably appear in a James Bond film, were that the case.

but which of the 3 girls Bond plows would you be?!
the beginning good girl he works with?
the middle bad girl that works with the villain?
the end picked-up-along-the-way girl he saves?

I imagine Alice would be Jame Bond...and at the end of the movie Bond would pull off a Mission Impossible style mask revealing that it was Alice the whole time (and that the mask was made from Bond's actual face...which she removed with a scalpel).

I wonder if you will look like Daniel Craig's Bond for the entire game, or get to play as each of the six different Bonds (I think the latter is most likely).

Yeah I am wondering that as well. Seems like playing as all the Bonds would be a lot of trouble on their part to get each actor's likeness, I hope it is still Daniel Craig at least.

Most likely it will have to be Craig. They had to do that with the recent GoldenEye game.

That would be the easiest way to deal with the licensing issue.

I would prefer to be able to play the set pieces as each of the different Bonds.

The different Bonds give the movies of each period a uniqueness. When I choose to watch a Bond movie (or 2 or 3) I tend make my decision based on which "style" (actor) I feel like watching.

EA must be rolling with laughter as Activision fail to make any money off this, just as EA did before them.

Sounds absolutely terrible. Who'd want to play chunks from 6 different movies? There will clearly not be any proper progression - story wise or gameplay wise.

I thought there was some over-reaching arcs to some of the stories? I know at least it has seemed that way with the Daniel Craig ones.

The early Bond movies usually had some sort of Spectre involvement with Bond attempting to locate Blofeld who was pulling the strings of each movie's villain. That faded as the Roger Moore era began. They also had a few different actors play Blofeld and I believe they killed him in a couple of the movies. For the most the stories are not connected though.

After he kills Bond's wife in OHMSS, he's supposed to get revenge in You Only Live Twice, but they had already made that movie. So they added a weird revenge preamble to Diamonds are Forever (though he comes back and dies again later in that movie). Which is all pretty weird because in OHMSS he falls into a fucking snowblower and gets chopped up like in Fargo.

Yea and with SPECTRE you could do Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and Diamonds are Forever and it could all be linked. Except the rights to SPECTRE are not part of the Bond rights anymore...

Maybe turn SPECTRE into Quantum and merge it into the last two Daniel Craig movies?

This sounds like a good concept on paper. I've felt sometimes they stretch a 2-hour movie into a 8-10 hour game and it get stale.

Other than Goldeneye, has there been another good Bond game? It's seems like such a no brainer and should be the easiest thing ever.

I think Everything or Nothing is good. Some of the others aren't bad, just very average. Blood Stone was a disappointment. Bizarre Creations developed Blood Stone so I expected some good driving levels but they weren't fun. I didn't like the recent version of GoldenEye which was by Eurocom who are also making this new Legends game. I'm sure I'll try it though since I'll play any James Bond game.
