Dead Space 3 spotted on retail site

Video game franchises--especially ones as successful as Dead Space--tend to become trilogies, at the very least. Although Electronic Arts has yet to announce Dead Space 3, the game has surfaced yet again--this time as a pre-order on a South African games website.

BT Games is currently taking pre-orders. While there's every reason to believe this is simply a mistake, IGN notes that BT Games has previously outed Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode and the Jak & Daxter HD Collection. It is reliably leaky, it seems.

Siliconera first wrote about Dead Space 3 back in September. The site claimed the franchise's main protagonist, Isaac Clarke, would return--this time to an icy planet.

Andrew Yoon was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

I really like Diablo 1 and Doom for creepy settings, but hands down DS takes the fear factor up a notch.

Agree, one of my top fav games ever. Horror FPS wins, and its sci-fi, thats a double win.

This. It is Doom in a spaceship as far as I'm concerned, and that's why it's awesome. It also has a kickass interface.

I wouldn't say that. It does a fantastic job with atmosphere, and the basic limb-chopping game mechanic is very well implemented. Hell, it's even kind of generally scary at times.

My first game ended because of this. On the second attempt I championed myself to handle it for quite a few hours and haven't regretted it, a very nice game. I don't know why I didn't keep going, just kind of... forgot to.
