Halo Petition

Blues has a report that Microsoft confirmed that Halo would be on PC.

11562 signatures now... pretty impressive. I signed this when it was around 100 or so. I don't know if this will change Bungie's mind though...

Almost there......... only 1 billion to go. The decision was made even before M$ bought Bungie. They didnt pay roughly 60 million to have another software development company. They already have them, and 60 million could have been better spent elsewhere. M$ bought Halo. Thats it.

Dont get me wrong. I understand that the owners of Bungie made a boat load of cash. They deserve it. And it was their right to sell their company. Shit, I would have done the same thing myself. But I just cant stand lies and bull shit.

Halo should only come out on PC, there is no place for macs in the gaming world, they are really useless and ppl should stop pushing them, cause it's just not worth it

Halo is coming out on the PC: it's called Tribes 2.

Maybe now the whining over this over-hyped tech demo will stop.

Someone from Blues messageboard had a good point that microsoft may look at this petition and say
"wow, 3000 people are really excited about Halo, thats 3000 xboxes we're guaranteed to sell. weeee."

So maybe its not such a good thing.

The petition is at nearly 8000 and slowing down for the day.

I'm not signing. For one, If I can hook the xbox to a keyboard, microsoft intellieye mouse and my cable modem, I'll buy two. Second, it will probably be ported to the pc, just months if not a year later so this petition will have no effect except maybe make them annouce it early.

Just a general point, not referring to anyone in particular...

When people get the first post, or the 100th post, or that all important 118th post, why do 60% of the people feel it necessary to call the rest of us "bitches"?

Hmmmm Red Faction doesn't look all that.

I think MS would be very foolhardy to assume that all those people gagging for Halo will just go out and by an X-Box to play it on. The bottom line is the X-Box is just a PC with zero upgrade potential, and people who own a PC can't really justify going out and getting something that they already have in a different form, and can upgrade at will.

I'd take a PC over an X-Box anyday, Halo or not.

I agree physics don't make a great game, but I was merely using that to demonstrate that Halo is far from being just a pretty face.

Does anyone really care about this game? We know dick about it except that it looks nice. Big deal, every game has good graphics nowadays. All of these super-awesome-kickass FPS' that get hyped either get delayed until they're average (Unreal) or mediocre (Daikatana) or get cancelled (Amen, Prey). By the time Halo would have come out for the PC, I bet there would've been half a dozen other games on the horizon that everyone would be spooging over.

I guess Decay ended up in the same place as Prey, and (very nearly) Daikatana =P
