SamHell Does Drakan

Put simply, the benefits of making your own engine are in the game. Drakan would still be impossible to create by even the standards of todays engines on the market. Surreals Riot Engine is so beautiful at creating organic shapes. I love Quake and Unreal but licensing them was never a consideration. When we started Surreal late in 95 we always wanted to do something different than corridor games of the day
