Halo Infinity domains registered by Microsoft
by Andrew Yoon, Apr 05, 2012 8:30am PDTMicrosoft has registered a number of URLs, all related to something called "Halo Infinity." In addition to domains like haloinfinity.net, the company also acquired haloinfinitymultiplayer.com.
Initial speculation has led many to believe Halo Infinity may be a DLC release for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. "Infinity" was a multiplayer level exclusive to the PC version of Halo. It was a long canyon-shaped map, and according to Wikia, ideal for races.
"Microsoft often acquires various domain names as part of its ongoing business strategy, but beyond that we have no comment," the publisher told IGN in a statement.
Fusible originally spotted the domain registrations. While a re-release of the Infinity map seems like a logical conclusion, the company also registered morethanjustamap.com, very bluntly suggesting that this release will be more than just a map.
