by Garnett Lee, Apr 02, 2012 4:15pm PDTDespite the legendary stature of the SOCOM franchise, Sony pulled the plug on series developer Zipper Interactive after a string of three successive releases that came up short of their hype. MAG, SOCOM 4, and Unit 13, one of a handful of strong titles for the new Vita system, all failed to find the winning formula the developer had down so well with SOCOM 2. Team Meat announced plans to bring Super Meat Boy to iOS and android, but as a proper new game and not a port. And Diabolical Pitch and Xenoblade Chronicles headline this week's new releases.
