Combat Mission hits iPad
by Steve Watts, Apr 02, 2012 3:15pm PDTAnother PC classic has been fitted onto the iPad, this time from the strategic Combat Mission series. Combat Mission: Touch is now available on the App Store for $4.99, promising a fairly accurate representation of the classic PC games.
The game page (via Touch Arcade) notes that it uses the WEGO system for simultaneous planning and execution of the combat, two factions (Americans and Germans), 7 historical combat maps, replays, and realistic ballistics and armor penetration algorithms, and historically accurate vehicle and infantry units.
It seems like a decent pick for war buffs and classic strategy gamers, and so far reviews seem fairly positive. You'll need an iPad 2 or later with iOS 5.0 to handle it, but if you meet those requirements have a go at reliving your PC memories.
