MMORPG The Secret World has been quietly gathering buzz. If you're one of the more than 500K users who signed up for the beta test, chances are you'd like another peek behind the Secret curtain. Fortunately for you, developer Funcom gave a nice long presentation at the Game Developers Conference, and now that video is available to watch online.

The extended video shows off character creation, story bits, Dragon Starter experience, crafting, and more, all explained in detail by members of the development team. The Secret World is set to hit on June 19.

Doesn't look that interesting to me... The animations in particular are quite terrible.

They definitely have a large goal for themselves and the skill and crafting is very interesting. Still looks like it needs a lot of touch ups though. When I signed up for this a few years back I was suggested to be a Dragon, so this is nice to get an idea of what they suggested to me.

Holly sh*t this game looks STATIC. The screen after the character creation I thought was the loading screen because NOTHING was moving. Then after the player started moving I noticed that this was actually ingame. This game sure need a lot more "dynamic" foliage, like moving trees, little particle effects, maybe some flickering signs... it still looks so generic...

I really was really looking forward to this game, but after seeing this footage, I'm really turned off... :-/
