Binary Domain, Sega's futuristic robot shoot 'em up from the Yakuza studio is coming to PC. Sega says the port is to sate "PC fans who have been requesting this game."

"As well as the excitement generated by Binary Domain in the console press we were seeing increasing numbers of players asking for a PC version," Sega's VP of marketing Gary Knight said in the announcement. "So we listened and we delivered."

Binary Domain is a third person cover shooter not unlike Gears of War. However, its "gimmick" is the "Consequence System," based on your responses to the AI partners. It received middle of the road reviews on consoles.

Sega didn't offer details on any PC-specific tweaks to Binary Domain. It will be available at both retail and digital download.

Mediocre reviews for this. Probably won't sell well, so they can blame it on pirating.

That was SUH-WEEEEET! (watch the Giantbomb Quicklook)

From the Metacritic scores, it's doing better than Lost Planet 2, but worse than Vanquish. It looks like a competent, though slightly janky third-person cover shooter.

I saw the Giant Bomb quick look, and the voice recognition thing looks a bit touchy. The dialogue response system looks like an interesting, but ultimately inconsequential gimmick. I liked Big Bo's lines, though his AI wasn't quite so good, failing to provide good cover in an "I'll cover you" situation.

It's no Vanquish on any level, really. That said, it seems like a decent Gears of Bros type game.

I haven't seen a single request for this game.

      How about Bayonetta instead? :<

Well, it's a shooter so it makes a good fit for PC. Bayonetta is something you pretty much really need a controller for so it makes less sense for them to port that though I'd buy and replay it if it shows up on Steam. :)

Usually I scoff it up at the suggestion of games that are clearly at home on a controller being ported over to PC, but at the sight of skipping a cutscene only to have my character locked up while I sit there watching enemies and a boss pop into existence as the engine streams them in actually makes me really wanna play it there. :(

That's not a Sega joint but yeah, I'd love that on PC too. I played Demon's Souls on PS3 and have been holding out on Dark for some news that's never coming. At least it will be super cheap by the time I give in and grab the console version.

I have this game it is pretty cool actually, and believe it or not it has some real good voice recognition that works real well with you AI dude.

Here is a IGN review... I know, it was the easiest to find http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/121/1219065p1.html

I will pick it up for the PC for sure, play a lot like gears but the AI is pretty cool and the fights are fun.

Don't really know anything about this game, but it doesn't look to bad.
And BTW, it's already on Steam out April 7th for $50 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/203750/

Well it's $50 in Australia, so I assumed it was the same in the US. Considering they didn't bump up the price to $90AUD like other titles, I didn't suspect it to be cheaper in the US.

What the hell why the shit are you guys paying so much? I did the conversion 50 = 53 us that is really weird.

Not cool, I know you guys have a real strong gaming community in Aus they should not punish you for what ever reason should be the same everywhere. Hmm weird, maybe its like when I have to pay are stupid CND tax on Origin even though other DD sites do not do that.

            Who knows.

No mention of third-party DRM, and Steam Cloud support. Unless there's something hidden here, good on them for releasing on PC the right way.

It isn't available for preorder via amazon, but I will be shocked if it is not available on a disc at all.
