Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat to hit April 17
by Steve Watts, Mar 19, 2012 1:30pm PDTDeadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat will hit on April 17 for $29.99, publisher 345 Games announced last week. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title combines the two downloadable Deadliest Warrior games with their various bits of DLC, a new stage, new weapons, and new episodes from the Spike TV show.
The new arena is "Graveyard," and some of the new weapons include a Lockbar Axe for William Wallace, the Monk's Space for Sun Tzu, and a Tsonga Battle Axe for Shaka Zulu. Both games plus their associated DLC cost close to the asking price, without the extra content, so it's likely the way to go for fans.
Our own preview gave some love to the game for its realistic fighting and physics. While a single arrow to win the match can be frustrating if you're on the receiving end, it also sets the game apart.
