A free title update is headed to Soulcalibur V this Wednesday, bringing with it a number of gameplay tweaks as well as some minor balance adjustments to the game's entire roster of characters. New online ranked game search optimization will also be included in the patch, making it a good precursor to the Soulcalibur V Worldwide Finals taking place in Las Vegas next month.

Namco Bandai is hosting the Soulcalibur V Worldwide Finals on April 10, 2012 at the Cosmopolitan hotel and casino in Las Vegas. A $10,000 cash prize is on-hand for the winner of the international tournament; however, don't just think you'll be able to waltz in and snag a chance to win the grand prize. As noted by the press release, North American players will need to qualify by competing in the upcoming MLG Winter Championships and NorCal Regionals.

If you're living in (or near) Los Angeles, and would like to attend, Namco Bandai will be providing transportation to the Soulcalibur V Worldwide Finals. Said transportation will pick up from various locations in the Los Angeles area on the morning of April 10, and will return that same evening. More details about how all of this will work will be revealed soon, though you will need to be at least 21 years of age (with a valid driver's license) to be able to attend.

Monthly DLC costume packs are also inbound, with the first pack hitting on April 3, 2012. Specific details about the DLC packs are coming soon, promises the publisher.
