Monster World Collection coming to XBLA
by Steve Watts, Mar 15, 2012 9:45am PDTSega is getting in touch with its roots on Xbox 360. A leak from Microsoft has revealed a "Vintage Collection" of the company's action RPG series Monster World. The collection includes Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonder Boy in Monster World, and the obscure title previously only officially available in Japan, Monster World IV.
The Xbox Live Marketplace leak was caught by NeoGAF before being taken down. It showed off the interface and border that would go around the games, along with a description promising achievements, new trial modes, leaderboards, and recordable game sessions that can be shared and downloaded.
Sega had previously announced two Monster World games for PlayStation Network and Wii, scheduled for sometime between late 2011 and early 2012. Now that they've been spotted for XBLA as well, it's a likely bet they'll hit each platform around the same time.
Shacknews has contacted Sega regarding the leak, and will update as more information becomes available.
