European online retailer Play.com recently let a cat out of the bag by posting a game page for Monster Hunter Portable 3 for the PlayStation Vita.

A report on Eurogamer posits that the leaked game could be part of the PlayStation Vita Game Heaven event that Sony is hosting this Friday at 20:00 JST, at which new Vita title reveals are promised.

Monster Hunter 3 is already available on Wii, and a 3DS version has also been announced. It's likely this game, if real, would be a Vita-enhanced port of Monster Hunter 3--not to be confused with Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, which is already available and compatible with the Vita.

Think SotC, without the heart wrenching minimalist story, and you get to make armor and weapons out of what you kill.

in a way, its kinda like demons souls as is hard, but not cheap.
Best played with friends though, since the SP is kinda boring.

Agreed, though farming the final boss in SP is a good way to get stuff, and it's much easier to get things you need item wise in SP for healing, etc.

I REALLY hope they bring this game to the 3DS in the US because I've been extremely curious to play a Monster Hunter game but I've never owned a system on which the game was available on.
