Octodad made a splash when it launched in 2010, instantly establishing itself as video gaming's most realistic tentacled domestic bliss simulator. Developer Young Horses yesterday released a trailer lifting the wraps off its commercial sequel, revealing the new name of Octodad: Dadliest Catch and a 2013 release window.

As you can surely tell by his name, Octodad is an octopus living a normal human life with his wife and children. Only, lacking a skeleton means he's a bit ungainly on land, and will flail his tentacles wildly as you attempt to complete everyday tasks and solve puzzles. Of course, if he's too wonky, people might catch on that there's something a little off about him.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is in development for PC, Mac and Linux, off the back off a successful Kickstarter campaign last year.
