Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City's release is only a few weeks away on consoles. The Xbox 360 version will include exclusive access to DLC: a new online competitive mode. It lets you use one of the series' more iconic enemies as a weapon against your foes.

"Nemesis Mode," announced today by Capcom, has the USS take on Spec Ops in a score battle. The twist in this particular competitive mode is that players can take indirect control of Nemesis. By securing the control unit, you can give orders to the beast to slaughter the competition. Capcom stresses that this mode is 360-only.

Nemesis Mode will be available for $4 (320 MSP). Operation Raccoon City launches March 20 for consoles, and May 18 on PC.

In all honesty I dont care about this. I cant wait for #6 but this just seems like something they threw together to make some fast cash.

I think the fact they announced 6 before ORC even came out shows that there's little confidence in this project.

I never got the idea that Capcom expected ORC to become a leading title in the series. Did you? The company has released tons of side RE games that they positioned more to tide over fans between canonical entries than any show-stealing efforts.

I'm not interested in Operation RC, but I love the Nemesis character. RE3 was where the series started to stumble a bit due to offering much new from RE2, but Nemesis made the game by far the most terrifying entry in the series (until 4 and the REmake on GameCube). Every time the music would fade out and Nemesis's eerie tune would settle in, I always broke out in a sweat and had to talk myself into leaving whatever room I was holed up in.

wow that footage looks ugly. Crappy stitled animations, low-quality textures and coverbased gameplay.

Anyone giving a fuck about this? At All?!
